Can't Miss Books on Relationships

There are so many self styled gurus that are sure their model for making relationships work…like we are from different planets, or just do what we did…are the answer for all of us. I'd rather get my information from someone who has carefully studied couples in all stages of their relationships, and knows what works and what doesn't. That man is John Gottman…and he tells us all how to have much better relationships with our honeys in his The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work .You owe it to yourself and your honey to get you copy and put it to work for you.

If it's your relationship with yourself..and depression is one of the things you struggle with, the pick up the revised edition of David Burns' Feeling Good: The New Mood Therapy. While I was still a full time therapist, many of the clients I worked with struggled with depression. Hands down, this was the most helpful book they read on the subject…and I have to admit it is one that I have read and reread and used myself. The key is not just reading it, but doing the exercises and thinking about them as you do them.

Alex Comfort rocked the world with his Joy of Sex. A few years ago, he revised the original and now The New Joy of Sex is available in paperback. Again, a classic and very helpful.

Abraham Morgental is a physician who clearly explains why Viagra is not always the answer and may cause more trouble than it helps. In The Viagra Myth: The Surprising Impact On Love And Relationships he clearly shows how medication is not always the best solution for your difficulties.
